Description
Microaggression remains a subtle yet significant issue for Student Registered Nurse Anesthetists (SRNAs) in academic and clinical settings. Microaggression is a significant concern that hinders professional communication, leading to poor medical outcomes. Fostering healthy clinical environments conducive to students' academic and professional success is first accomplished by addressing microaggression in its entirety and raising awareness of the adverse effects that occur following covert acts. The following literature review analyzes the complex prevalence of microaggression and its adverse effects among students of various populations. The primary objective of this literature review is to assess the effectiveness of incorporating microaggression workshops and educational modules into the clinical onboarding process to reduce the occurrence of microaggression among SRNAs in clinical settings.
