Healthcare paraprofessionals suffer high rates of injury in the workforce yet often do not report these injuries to administration. Injuries sustained by healthcare employees may decrease the efficacy of medical teams and worsen patient outcomes. The researchers conducted this study to determine if healthcare workers chose not to report workplace injuries for a specific reason. Additionally, the researchers explored relationships within the data between workers that had and had not reported a workplace injury and the possible explanations for this difference.
