Description
The purpose of this convergent mixed-methods study will be to investigate the absence of a Business Process Management (BPM)-led operating model in newly established online business colleges and to develop the Integrated Process, Change, and Performance (IPCP) Framework as a solution. The IPCP Framework will be defined as a structured model that integrates processes, organizational and cultural change, and performance measurement to strengthen institutional governance, adaptability, and capacity. The study will be guided by a culture change framework that focuses on cultural and leadership factors that contribute to institutional alignment and sustainability. BPM process theory will address the process dimension, while performancemonitoring mechanisms will address the performance dimension. The primary research question will examine how a BPM-led operating model, implemented through the IPCP Framework, can strengthen processes, governance, enhance cultural alignment, and ensure institutional capacity and accreditation readiness. The study setting will include newly established online business colleges operating under the Florida Commission for Independent Education (FLCIE). Data sources will consist of regulatory and accreditation reports, governance documents, and national datasets, including IPEDS and NCES, with limited primary data collected through staff interviews and surveys. Data analysis will employ thematic analysis for qualitative data and descriptive statistics for quantitative benchmarks. The IPCP Framework is expected to provide a proven model for enhancing institutional capacity, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring regulatory and accreditation readiness.
