Description
The purpose of this qualitative study is to examine the influence of artificial intelligence (AI) integration and public awareness of AI on human decision-making, emotional intelligence, and social behavior in everyday contexts. AI integration remains defined as the increasing use of AI technologies in daily life, shaping how individuals make decisions, navigate emotional responses, and engage socially. Guided by the Social Construction of Technology (SCOT) framework, the study explores how societal groups shape the development and adoption of AI technologies and how the technologies influence societal behaviors and structures. The research addresses the primary question: How does public awareness of AI influence decision-making, emotional intelligence, and social behavior in daily life? Utilizing secondary data from the Pew Research Center's study on public awareness of AI in everyday activities, the research applies thematic analysis to uncover patterns and themes regarding public perceptions, engagement, and interactions with AI technologies. Key findings highlight socio-economic disparities, geographic differences, and generational variations in AI awareness and engagement, revealing systemic barriers and opportunities for equitable AI adoption. The study provides actionable insights for industries developing and deploying AI technologies, emphasizing the need for ethical practices, transparent communication, and targeted outreach to foster trust and inclusivity. By advancing the understanding of AI’s societal implications, the research contributes to creating AI systems that equitably serve diverse populations while addressing the challenges of responsible integration.
