Description
The purpose of this convergent parallel mixed methods practical action research study is to examine the organizational impacts of multifunctional AI chatbot deployment on distributor and customer experiences across the dimensions of information accuracy, adoption, and operational efficiency at a direct selling nutritional supplement company in the domains of product information, compliance-sensitive health claims, income opportunity disclosures, and operational service requests. The theory guiding this study is the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework, as it provides structure for examining how technological characteristics, organizational readiness, and environmental regulatory pressures jointly shape technology adoption outcomes in compliance-intensive settings. This study will employ a convergent parallel mixed methods design, collecting quantitative survey data from 100 distributor and 100 customer participants, organizational documents, and structured observational data simultaneously and integrating them to assess implementation outcomes. Data will be collected through validated survey instruments measuring adoption intention, ease of use, and compliance confidence, concurrent with structured observation of chatbot interaction logs using a six dimension classification protocol. Quantitative data will be analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, observational data through structured frequency and pattern analysis, and findings will be integrated through joint display. It is anticipated that findings will reveal that organizations achieving higher levels of technological readiness, leadership commitment, and regulatory governance alignment demonstrate measurably greater chatbot adoption rates, information accuracy, and operational efficiency outcomes within the direct selling nutritional supplement context.
