Description
This study aims to address employee burnout by integrating positive psychology principles and functional reciprocity into leadership coaching practices, enabling organizational leaders to better support employees in managing work-related stressors. The main question is whether using positive psychology to teach leaders coaching strategies can reduce employee burnout by managing stress, enhancing well-being, and fostering functional reciprocity for improving organizational outcomes. The theoretical framework integrates Seligman’s PERMA model, emphasizing Positive emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, and Accomplishment integrated with Cialdini’s Reciprocity theory, which highlights the importance of reciprocity supported by cooperation. The quasi experimental study will involve a sample of 50 voluntary participants. Data will be collected through validated assessment tools measuring burnout, stress management, and well-being before and after the intervention period. Pre- and post intervention repeated sample t-tests will be used to compare means of the group, and descriptive statistics will summarize data distribution for both tests. The anticipated findings are expected to demonstrate that empowering leaders with positive psychology techniques, to operationalize functional reciprocity, can significantly mitigate burnout symptoms, and contribute to sustained productivity and engagement within the workplace. This study should contribute to the growing body of knowledge on workplace mental health by providing practical insights for organizations.
